Audio: Nuff$aid – Han Solo

In Hip Hop by Super User

After receiving over 10,000 plays on Soundcloud with his debut single “Sorry for the wait”, Nuff$aid drops his second track “Han Solo” from the E.P. “Thou Art H.A.T.E.R”. The Brooklyn rapper has an authentic New York style which most New York artists are lacking in 2014.

After Kendrick Lamars control verse dropped last year calling himself the king of New York and calling out every other rapper, New York artists seem to have upped their’ game and Nuff$aid is definitely one trying to move New York Hip-hop back to where its’ roots are, away from the sound of the south which has taken over in the last decade.

Rapping over a beat which re works “Shook Ones” by Mobb Deep, Nuff$aid has a composure many young artists don’t quite have. Changeable clever flows combined with a focus on aggression and intelligence give Nuff$aid a sound similar to a young Papoose. A very listenable track, but a lot more to come from this young artist.
